ART JOURNALLING WORKSHOP

I havnt checked out who is teaching but this is the what I did when I first started Journaling. It was great to be in a supportive group with a whole lot of ideas and encouragement floating around. I made some good on-line friends and continued studying with them in other on-line spaces. There is generally a good choice of things to do. Great for the winter months and kids for those days when you're stuck for ideas. Some of you out there have creative kids and will be stuck in a caravan while your house is being demolished (you know who Im talking about)
Not all the workshops will appeal but I recommend it if you are keen on learning some new skills and being part of an enthusiastic group ( participation is not mandatory you can just be a stalker if you wish)

IDT

I did this at the end of day. It became AHA as Gary and I talked about it and then a did a reading before sleep and it all related.I had been thinking about the word abide and what it meant. At the bottom of this page is a hammock slung between two palms. I thought it was a bit odd but kept going with the exercise. The words that came to the page were Abide and rest in me.
The Heart is multi layered with the blue scratched back to see the rainbow and I am held in big green hands.I am totally connected and it felt like all the colour's and light were what connected me.
I opened first to the reading. 'I am the Vine and you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in Him bears much fruit, for without me you can do nothing'
The second reading I opened on was this one.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and he will guide you on the right paths. Proverbs 3:6.gaz had just written me a letter with this in it.
Lots of affirmation coming through.

Hospice pages

I hate that this is not as I want it to be

This page reminded me of when I first started journalling.I was painting and the colour's felt all yuck and I could get it right. It was hot and I found it all really frustrating .Felt like I didn't know what I was doing and it had no purpose. I made the decision to paint some words down and write what was happening and here it is .Always the profound when this happens and I am not surprised anymore by how this works.
Flowers in the hospice garden - Roses and lady's mantle.
This was just colour play and backgrounds for writing on which I havnt done yet

Christmas journal for me made by Lynn Taylor

I have been recording small moments in this beautiful wee journal that my friend made me for christmas. It is packed with all sorts of neat stuff that relates to me. I was so touched when I opened it. I cried, always a good response when someone puts that much care and effort into someone. I felt like I had been seen. I have been using it as space to record some of the ahas or just trying to notice something in my day. The yellow animal came from a shadow on the ground that I drew and coloured in.
Lavender from the garden and some writng from 2nd church that we had here. Daisy- our friendly duck and a prayer that someone gave me.

Creative writing Course

I participated in this course with Diane a few years ago when it was a year long Diploma through Aoraki. It was very worthwhile. I quit just before the end, due to health reasons and so missed the bit of paper that affirms this but felt very satisfied with all I learned.
Diane packs an encouraging amount of information and inspiration into her teaching. You wont regret enrolling.
